This week we decided to do something a bit different.

WE WENT TO PULAU UBIN!

Island-hopping, if you will
Xin Wei, Shinn and I headed to Changi Point Ferry Terminal to ride a ferry to Pulau Ubin. It was my first time there so I was quite excited!
The interior of the bumboat
The fare for a one-way journey was $2.50, which was quite reasonable. It was a very windy boat ride!

Entering the island
Not too long later, we finally reached Pulau Ubin. We were all awed by the rustic atmosphere of the area. It was very different from the Singapore mainland!
The map of Pulau Ubin
We rented our bikes and set off on our exploration of the island. We encountered many sights and had fun going downhill the many slopes found in the area. The cycle back uphill on the other hand....

The river mouth

Many people had inconsiderately left their rubbish on the river banks

COCONUTS
After a long cycle under the hot sun, we headed to a small shack to enjoy ice-cold coconuts which were really delicious! We had to leave shortly after though because Xin Wei had to head back to school for CCA training...

Rocking the crocs
Regardless, we all had a lot of fun! Pulau Ubin is a really great island for a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

See you all next time! さようなら~
