Day 3

Beautiful sunrise and blue skies.

Breakfast in the college was really delicious! The miso soup was in a grade of it's own.
We're at a payphone~
Seeing a payphone booth , we couldn't miss an opportunity to take a photo in it (ง •̀_•́)ง

We were invited to Prof. Ishida's class for an exchange. It was really cool to see how a typical class in Japan works like!

Say cheese!
We had a great time interacting with everyone from class 3I. They were a really friendly bunch!

After the exchange, we headed back to the ship for an emergency and safety drill conducted by Chief mate Motogi.  This was to ensure that we were familiarised with the emergency procedures on board before we set sail on Day 4!

SAFETY SHOT

Our lunch for the day, fried rice with salad and dim sum. The cooks really know how to make simple food taste really good.

Side profiles

After we got back and changed into our uniforms, we had passage planning lessons, conducted by Chief Mate Motogi and Mr. Hamano.

Fortunately, we had a tea ceremony after a day of hard work on board Oshima Maru. We had matcha and manjyuu (bun).

We were even given the opportunity to make our own Matcha

Beautiful sunset

Welcome dinner party!!

We had an awesome dinner and we were taught on how to play Janken, Japan's version of Scissors, Paper, Stone.

Performance by SMA students and a short speech by Yusuke, the leader from Oshima group.

We even taught the Japanese students Heart Attack which they really enjoyed!

Smiles all around
To the next day!
