Today, we had fun at t1a68, the 9 of us, me(iffah), clarie, syukriah, stanley, shone, halim , xinsi , aaron and christopher were discussing on the 8 songs that we are going to dedicate to the Japanese. we all went to youtube to get some of the song. shone will be playing the guitar for two of the songs, three of the songs will be english modern songs, another 2 will be japanese song while the last one will be a choreograph song. what do i mean by a choreograph song? if you guys happen to watch glee or grease or high school musical, we are doing that for the oshima trip. however, we have to cancel the dance as it takes alot of time for us to organize and get everybody syncronize & coordinate at the same time. Every Wednesday at 3pm, My team and I will be meeting at T1a68 to discuss about what are we going to do for the oshima trip. Today, we managed to learn some Japanese Language taught by Kung Xinsi, one of the student going for the oshima trip. Some of the Japanese Language that we learn are:

All of us were given tasks to do. As for Shone and Stanley, they both were in-charge of the songs that we are going to sing to the Japanese while Xinsi will be choreographing a dance for the team to perform. Syukriah and Halim has to design t-shirt and windbreaker for us so that we can look as a bonded team when we reached Japan. As for Clarie, she will be in charge of sports and games we are doing in Japan. Aaron will be in charge of taking pictures while as for me (Iffah), I will be in charge of posting our events in the blog, collecting data as well as making sure that everything run smoothly. As for the reserved, only Matthew came for the meeting, even though he's not selected, he had given as alot of ideas and some jokes during the meeting. Next meeting on wednesday, we are going to sing as well as dance. Thanks for reading you all!!!

There's been alot of student showing their interest on the oshima trip, on board the oshimaru. However, only 8 are selected out of all of them. one of the year 2 have been selected. There's alot of interview going on and only 7 year ones are selected for the oshima trip. for those who are selected, well done, you guys are great!! you guys have met the requirements for the oshima trip and outstands the rest who have came for the interview. As the student leader, I would like to thank you guys for giving me and Capt.Raj a marvelous interviews that showcase not only your social skills but your outstanding talent. below are the selected students

note for the reserved: please do not feel despair because they are bound to be drop-outs or if the above 7 are not consistent in their performance for the oshima trip, there will be replaced by you. so don't give up hope and please do come for the meeting every wednesday to know the updates of the above 7.

On the Sunday, 3rd September 2010, 8 selected students from SP-SMA will be flying to Japan for the Oshima Trip. The students which consists of, four from Diploma in Nautical Studies (DNS) and four from Diploma in Marine Engineering (DMR) will be in Japan for a week. Leading the group of students to Japan is Capt. Raj. Here are some details of the upcoming trip:

Departure Date : Friday, 3rd October 2010
Departure Time : 01 00 hour
Arrival Date : Sunday, 9th October 2010
Arrival Time : 16 00 hour


The main objectives of this trip is to gain experience in operating or handling the ship and to experience life at sea for four days onboard a Japanese vessel(Oshimaru). At the same time, the students will have a chance to interact with their Japanese counterparts.
