Then came lunch. After that we went to the Kobe Port, and the view was simply amazing! It was really a day of fun.

Beautiful scenery :)

After visiting Kobe Port, we all went into different groups to roam freely around the streets of Kobe. Elly and I, together with some of the Japanese students had so much fun and laughter throughout the day. Thank you for bringing us around with patience. After the tiring day walking around, it was time to return to Oshima Maru by @ 2100.  Lights out came after. To more adventures the next day~

Day 3, Sailing off~

It's the day we'd be sailing off to Kobe! We woke up for a speedy breakfast in the dormitory, then rushed back to Oshima Maru to gather and leave Oshima. It would be a busy day ahead of us, where we would end off our day arriving at Anchorage. We could not wait to learn from the crew how watch keeping, traffic route observation and anchorage would be like! This was truly an experience.

After the two sessions of watch keeping, it's time to learn the traffic route observation from the Chief Mate!

After another 2 hours of watch keeping, it was time for our short rest time. Who knew that two hours on bridge would be that tiring!

After dinner, we had our shower and off we go for our night watch keeping and arriving at anchorage. It was really an experience on bridge at night and we learnt so much from the crew from Oshima Maru.

Beautiful view of the bridge at night!

Finally we are done with the anchorage, and tomorrow a day of shore leave awaits us at Kobe.

Day 2

The second day has come and all of us had woken up early for breakfast and were pretty excited for the school tour as we had the chance to be in their classroom  and  do a presentation about Singapore Maritime Academy.

Time for breakfast!

After the delicious breakfast, we took some photos around the school's cafeteria while waiting for the Oshima students.

Excited for the day ahead!

After the drills, we changed into our uniforms for the tea ceremony and welcome dinner. We have learnt more about the Japanese culture through the tea ceremony, where Elly and David had the opportunity to try out making the tea. It was hard getting enough foam out to make the tea! Time for some tea ceremony.
